SAME Summer Camp

  • Who is eligible?
    High school students (typically 15+, rising sophomores–seniors).

  • What do students do and learn?
    Participate in hands-on engineering and STEM challenges—building, testing, problem-solving, and teamwork—led by engineers and industry professionals.

  • When is it held?
    One-week camps in early to mid-summer (June–July).

  • Where is it held?
    Overnight camps at military bases across the U.S., hosted by Society of American Military Engineers.

  • Why attend?
    Gain real-world engineering experience, leadership skills, and exposure to STEM careers.

  • Cost?
    Approximately $100–$800, with most students receiving scholarships or sponsorships that significantly reduce the cost.
