These experiences connect mentoring activities to real-world projects, professionals, and work environments while helping students better understand the variety of career paths available within the industry.

Construction site tours give students the opportunity to see how designs are transformed into built projects and experience the construction process firsthand. Prepare students before the visit by reviewing the project, safety expectations, and key features to observe, then encourage them to ask questions, examine drawings and construction details, and see how architects, engineers, construction managers, skilled trades, and other professionals work together.
