Managing large construction projects can be a complex process. We will look at how the Phoenix Raceway completed a major renovation with Okland Construction and Procore’s construction management software.
Phoenix Raceway President, Julie Giese, and Business Development Director for the West, Mark Bailey, will describe the history of the Phoenix Raceway, The Championship Weekend, and how they use the facility throughout the year. They will also describe the steps that went into the renovation project and provide a virtual tour of the facility.

Julie Giese
Julie Giese serves as President of Phoenix Raceway, overseeing the promotion and operation of the modernized facility that is a top motorsports and entertainment destination in the Phoenix, AZ, market.
Giese previously served as the Managing Director of Business Operations for International Speedway Corporation’s (ISC) Design & Development, leading the coordination between ISC’s 13 race tracks, internal corporate departments and the Design & Development team on the Company’s significant capital investment and redevelopment projects. Since January 2017, Giese worked tirelessly on the design and project management of the $178 million modernization project at Phoenix Raceway.
Mark Bailey
Mark Bailey serves as the Director of Business Development for NASCAR’s West Region, focused on building new partnerships across NASCAR properties including Auto Club Speedway in Southern California, Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, and Phoenix Raceway in Arizona by way of NASCAR Major Event Weekends along with the development of track/facility partnerships to bring both private and public events to our versatile venues year-round.
