ACE VENTURES! | COORDINATED COMMUNICATION

Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) continues to change the way we deliver buildings and communicate among various stakeholders.  We will look at today’s current technologies related to VDC and how it improves project communication.  Topics will include preconstruction, logistics planning, BIM Execution Plans, clash detection, laser scanning,  augmented reality and prefabrication. We will also take an in depth look at some of the latest cloud communication platforms including Autodesk BIM 360© and Touch Plan©.   We will highlight several projects including the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the Atrium Health Pineville Bed Tower.  Students should have a strong understanding on how technology is improving the delivery process of design and construction.
